If you find an electricity pole with current leakage or an electricity cable on the earth’s surface, inform your nearest mepco complaint center. Ensure that people do not touch the cable.
Ensure you do not use electricity cables to hang your clothes in your homes.
Be careful while drying your clothes on metal bars and electric wires because the wet wires and bars are a good conductor of electricity which can cause electric shock.
To avoid animal fatality, do not tie them with poles.
If you find an electric broken live wire fallen in the water. In such case keep away from the water.
Make sure to use high-quality electric plugs, switches and other electronic gadgets in your homes and offices to avoid any mishaps.
Always use 3-pin sockets in your homes and properly connect the third wire to the earth. In case of an electric shock, it protects you from harm.
Always keep your children away from the electrical appliance.
While using the electricity extension, make sure you do not use bare wires.
Immediately repair the worn and torn electric wires and cables in your homes and offices. Make sure the insulation tap is properly wrapped around the naked wires.
In case a person is electrocuted, do not physically touch him. Always use a bamboo or wooden bar to get him free. Physical touch may cause a fatal incident.
Do not touch the metallic parts of electrical appliances such as washing machines, refrigerators and irons until you unplug them.
Use an automatic voltage regulator.
Do not touch electric appliances when any part of your body is wet.
Carelessness in the usage of electricity has caused thousands of fatalities. Acting upon above mentioned guidelines, you can avoid fatal and non-fatal electrocution.
