Mepco Bill Tariff 2025

The power energy suppliers companies impose charges and taxes on the consumers in lieu of the total cost of production of electricity and its supply to consumers. This amount of money is called the electricity tariff or mepco tariff.

According to the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Tariff Standard and Procedure Rule, 1998, the authority determines tariffs for generation, transmission and distribution companies.

Mepco bill tariff depends on the consumption of electricity. The more you consume electrical energy, the more you pay the tariff, and vice versa. The owners of industries pay more amount as compared to domestic consumers because they use more power energy.

Mepco tariffs also depend upon several other factors including the type of load,  time of load consumption and the amount of electrical energy used. Fluctuation in fuel prices, the heavy cost of power generation and low economic conditions are also contributing factors increasing the mepco tariff rates. which ultimately results in more bill payment.

	For the categories of E-1(i&ii) above, the minimum bill of the consumers shall be Rs.50/- per day subject to a minimum of Rs.500/- for the entire period of supply, if no energy is consumed.
